The name Hole In The Wall describes exactly what this place is and represents it with pride. The sandwiches here are outstanding - big, fresh and locally made by quality sandwich craftsmen. It's the perfect spot for a casual lunch or a sandwich to-go if, like me, you're exploring the nearby hiking trails.
I went with a personalized turkey sandwich concoction. The guy let me taste this thin sliced rosemary turkey they had and I was hooked. I told him I was hiking and didn't want a sandwich that would get too soggy, so he ave me a little mustard and that was it. I also compliment them for an excellent chip selection. I think they have three or four racks of brands both common and obscure.
I hear they have an Arcata location as well, so I'm certainly going to hit that up on my next trip North! -

This is a nice convenient sandwich stop. Counter service, no tables. Convenient street parking.
This is not what I would consider a hipster trendy spot.
Clean, old school spot
The service was fast. We got there a few minutes
Before the weekday lunch crowd and the folks jumped all over us to make sure we were in and out fast.
There are many hot and cold choices. We had the crab, chicken parm, meatball. All were made to order and well executed.
Why three stars? It's the bread. Do not serve day old bread and expect 4 stars. Never going to be 5 stars for counter service.
I will be back but will be asking which bread they got in that day. Should not have to ask. -

This place is right off broadway and has picnic tables outside. Their sandwiches are really good! I ordered the avocado, spouts, and cheese sandwich. While it was amazing, their sandwiches are a bit pricey in my opinion. The sandwich I got was nearly $10. The sandwich was huge, although it still seemed a lot to me for a sandwich. This place has plenty of options, which is really nice and they also sell drinks and chips to go with your sandwich. If you are ordering a sandwich without cheese, it's a dollar extra to add cheese.

The most impressive thing was the size of their sandwiches; it was as big as my forearm! The menu isn't anything creative or impressive, but it's got all the usual classics and favorites.
Boyfriend got their hot pastrami reuben sandwich on sourdough roll. I got their club sandwich with avocado on dutch crunch. Both sandwiches were great. The place also had every type of chip imaginable and an array of drinks to choose from.
It's a nice place for a quick bite.
Also, no seating. Can only take it to-go. -

The staff was very friendly and effecient. This place is very over priced though and to not even include cheese is absurd. My bread seemed stale and was way to thick. I had to take the top off just to eat the sandwich. You can drive over to Cutten and have an amazing sandwich for half the price. Kinda bummed, I did love this place at one point and time.
